Nanda/Hobbs Contemporary is set to present a solo exhibition of exciting new work from the Paris-based Australian artist, Anthony White.

In his latest body of work, Crossing The Rubicon, Anthony White explores the intersection of defining historical moments with issues in the current socio-political climate. White addresses ideas sourced from historical moments of cultural collision to create large-scale images incoporating a range of disciplines from painting, drawing and collage.

Julius Caesar’s crossing of the Rubicon in AD49 serves as the historical flashpoint for White’s exploration of global issues past and present, and the artists uses it as a way to explore the growing refugee crisis extending acrossEurope.

Crossing the Rubiconwill be on show at Nanda/Hobbs Contemporary from Thursday September 22to Friday September 30. For opening hours and more information on upcoming exhibiitons, head to the gallery’s website, here.
