Barbara Ryman has been a leading influence on Australian contemporary jewellery over the last few decades. Her latest exhibition draws on her regular visits to Japan, studying with Japanese master Tsuruya Sakurai.

Displaying a wealth of Japanese culture and tradition, and working with vitreous enamel, producing a whispy, glass-like form,Dreams And Shadowsis an exploration of wearable objects and vessels. Putting words to her creations, Ryman has included a series of corresponding haikus into her exhibition, providing a glimpse at her creative process.

Dreams and Shadowswill be showing at Stanley Street GalleryWednesday September 10 – Saturday September 27.
