Chimerica,a play written by Lucy Kirkwood and surrounding the famous TiananmenSqaure ‘Tank Man’, makes its way to Sydney this year.
Chimerica premiered at London’s Almeida Theatrein 2013 and has since received positive reviews from The Guardian and TheTelegraph.
In his first piece as Sydney Theatre Company artistic director, Kip Williams will oversee the play set over two decades in Beijingand New York. It featuresJason Chong from Netflix’sMarco PoloandGeraldine Hakewill from Channel 7’s Wanted.
Chimericawill run from Monday February 20 to Saturday April 1 at the Roslyn Packer Theatre.
