Next month,Sydney Theatre Company is set to wow new audiences as it shares Griffin Theatre Company’s production of Angus Cerini’s The Bleeding Tree.

It’s a gothic thriller and ballad in one that reunites the original cast of Paula Arundell, Airlie Dodds and Shari Sebbens in a rhythmically rude and inrreverently funny production.

In rural Australia, a shot shatters in the night as a mother and two daughters welcome home the man of the house – whom they hate – with a bullet to the neck.

A celebration of women fighting back against spousal abuse, The Bleeding Tree has won an accolade of awards including Helpmanns for Best Play, Best Director and Best Female Actor.

Catch a performance from Thursday March 9 to Saturday April 8 at Wharf 1 Theatre, Walsh Bay.
