Get wild with Wilde in David Hare’s acclaimed play.

The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras has teamed up with Red Line Productions to develop a four-week run of Hare’s The Judas Kiss.

The scene is set: 1895 London, and Oscar Wilde is the toast of the town after The Importance Of Being Earnest blew away the West End. The play takes us through the mind of Wilde as he is facing prosecution for gross indencency. The kicker? It is his lover’s father who’s desperate to see him behind bars.

The play strikes chords of discrimination, deceit and desperation. Directed by Iain Sinclair, it stars Josh Quong Tart as Wilde, with an incredible supporting cast.
