TheKings Cross Festivalwill return this month, bringing with it a strong sense of community and a celebration of food, film and family.

The last weekend of February will see the festivalshowcase the diversity and vibrancy of Kings Cross and Potts Point.

Llankelly Place Long Table party opens the festival. It will see the lanewaytransform into a hive of entertainment, food and drinks. There will beDJs and live music performances, as well as pop-up bars from Young Henrys, Waterman’s Lobster Co. and The Roosevelt.

The following day, Families by the Fountain is a day for youngsters, with families able to get up close and personal with the creatures from Taronga Zoo’s mobile zoo. There will also be face painting, a visit from The Gruffalo, and more. Food and beverages will be provided by local cafes, including Farm Wholefoods and 169 Darlinghurst.

And to close the festival,an outdoor cinema will take over the harbourside park of Beare Park in Elizabeth Bay, with the screening of the Australian classic, The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desertcommencingat sunset. Bookings are available on the festival website, with $5 of each ticket sold donated to the event’s charity partner, the Wayside Chapel.
