The Sydney Dance Company has announced its 2016 program, combining masters of the music and dance fields.

Highlights of the program include a double bill entitled CounterMove,featuringaward-winning Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman’s acclaimed and hilariousCacti,in association with the world premiere ofHelpmann Award-winning choreographer Rafael Bonachela’sLux Tenebris.This collaboration will be toured throughout regional centres over the course of 2016.CounterMoveopens at the Roslyn Packer Theatre on Friday February 26.

And if that double bill didn’t seem overly ambitious, fans will be thrilled to see the announcement of a triple bill,Interplay, comprising works by Bonachela, renowned Australian choreographer Gideon Obarzanek, and Italy’s Jacopo Godani. This production is set to hit stages in Germany and Switzerland in April, proving the power and finesse of the Sydney Dance Company on an international level.
