Sydney’s annual Yabun Festival returns to Victoria Park for its 13th year this Australia Day to recognise and celebrate the oldest living culture on Earth.

‘Yabun’, meaning “music to a beat” in traditional Gadigal, is a musical celebration of the first Australians. With recognition growing each year, 2015 is sure to be a huge celebration of art, music, dance and food in the spirit of generating discussions and cultural awareness.

With 10,000 attendees last year, the festival has earned the title of Australia’s largest indigenous cultural event. 2015 will see a huge range of performers and artists spanning the genres ofblues, country, folk, hip hop, pop and spoken-word poetry.

The festival will be bradcast on NITV as well as live on Sydney’s Koori Radio station, 93.7FM.

Yabun is happening in Victoria Park, Camperdown on Australia Day, Monday January 26.
