Ant Rosen, singer-songwriter in Sydney bandAnatomy Class, has used the band’s first single launch to defend the livelihood of the Sydney live music scene.

“The live music scene in Sydney is back up and running. I think things took a bit of a hit when some of the established venues closed, but there has been a bunch of new places opening over the past couple of years – and there’s no shortage of great new bands out there,” Rosen said.

“In the past month or so we’ve had gigs at Frankie’s Pizza, Brighton Up Bar and Newtown Social Club, and we’ve got more venues in the pipeline.”

Formed only a year ago, Anatomy Classis made up of Sydney music scene stalwarts Rosen, Nick Kennedy (Knievel, Big Heavy Stuff),Michaela Davies (Sister Jane, Bichos Locos) andCraig Beck (The Rushing Dolls, Skybaby Siren). They are currently in the studio recording with notable Australian producer Wayne Connolly (You Am I, Boy And Bear, The Vines, Youth Group).
