Long-time favourite of the indie scene Darren Hanlon has jetted his way around the globe in 2015, launching his fifth album and supporting some of Australia’s biggest musical exports.

This Christmas, Hanlon will continue his tradition of capping off the year with a series of Christmas shows around the country. The singer-songwriter released his fifth full length album Where Did You Come From?this year, and toured around the US in support of Courtney Barnett, before playing a main stage solo set at The Green Man Festival in Wales.

This is the eighth year in a row Hanlon will play St Stephens Church in Sydney. “The pastor’s son has always done our sound and production,” Hanlon reminisces. “I’ve seen him right through high school and into college.”

Hanlon plays St Stephens Church in Newtown on Saturday December 19, with support from Grand Magoozi. Tickets are on sale now.
