Mere days after NSW police blocked yesterday’s Keep Sydney Open protest march via legal action, a new, bigger march has been scheduled for February 18th.

After yesterday’s Keep Sydney Open march wasthwarted by the NSW Police Commissioner’s rushed legal actionon Thursday, a new Facebook event has popped up promising an even bigger march is to take place next month.

“We know how disappointed and frustrated you are with the forced cancellation of tonight’s rally,” the post begins. “We want to make sure NSW hears you, and we’ll be working to make sure your voices are deafening for the state’s politicians.”

“In response, we are announcing that the rally will go ahead at a later date, and it will be bigger, louder and stronger than the one originally scheduled. On February 18, join us for the Keep Sydney Open Rally 3.”

While we can’t speculate at this stage whether further legal action will be taken against this new, rescheduled march, we can be almost certain that there will be a greater turnout by passionate protesters willing to take a further stand for Sydney’s vibrant nightlife.
