To celebrate World Refugee Day, the inaugural New Beginnings: Refugee Arts and Culture Festivalwill showcase the cultural expressions and heritage of refugee and asylum seeker communities.
Through a vibrant program,New Beginnings encourages people from all communities to unite for a shared cultural experience. Everything featured in the program is run bythe refugees and people living in our community, while they await the processing of their claim for asylum.
The free one-day celebration willfeaturemusic and dance performances, visual arts exhibits, workshops, and a shortfilm screening. Delicious food and market stalls will also be available to give everyone a taste of the diverse cultures on show.
The Festival will be an enriching and enlightening experience for artists and audience members of all ages.
