The social movement Proudly Pokies Free have announced their campaign launch, to be held next month.

The mantra of the group is about reducing harm and addiction caused by the availability of pokies across the country, with their aim to celebrate and promote pokies-free venues in Sydney.

The launch of the campaign will include performances by Tim Freedman (The Whitlams), Joyride, Wild Honey and Bad Deep DJs, with talks from guest speakers and appearences by secret guests to be announced only at the event. It’s an important event, designed to highlight a singularly important issue, so make sure you save the date for the launch.

The Proudly Pokies Free Campaign Launch takes place at Oxford Art Factory on Sunday October 23.
