Scottish duoRoss Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson are bringing their brand of folk to Sydney.

Armed with both Irish and Scottish bagpipes – the differences between which are too vast to fit in this space – the duo aim to charm with their pincer assault of Celtic that’ll make you long for the days of Boudica.

The two lads have been building hype in their native Britain, having been awarded the BBC Young Musician of the Year and being on the receiving end of some rave reviews. This will be their second time in Australia, after starring at the Australasian Worldwide Music Expo in Melbourne last year. On this tour, they’ll be joined by fellow Scottish bagpipe scenester Ali Hutton, albeit on guitar.

Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson will strut their stuff quite fittingly at the Gaelic Club in Surry Hills on Monday March 16. For more info and tickets, visit their site.
