The original lineup of the much-admired Perth band The Scientists have announced that they will reunite for a show at Sydney’s Factory Theatre.

Emerging from the ashes of The Victims in 1978, The Scientists went on to craft hard-edged rock songs with lighter pop elements. A genuine rock’n’roll band out of isolated Perth, The Scientists’ music transcended their small surrounds to influence artists around the world to boast a solid fanbase including the likes of Thurston Moore and Jon Spencer.

Having had a few lineup reshuffles, The Scientists’ gig at the Factory featuring the original lineup of Kim Salmon, James Baker, Rod Radalj and Boris Sujdovic is set to be extra special.

The Scientists and special guests will play at the Factory Theatre on Friday August 28, with tickets through the venue.
