Hyde Park’s Sydney Festival Village will act as a site of tribute for David Bowie fans across the city tomorrow, Wednesday January 13, as a lineup of DJs celebrates the music of the sadly departed icon.

Sydney Festival has announced through its email newsletter a free tribute event from 6:15pm at The Bandstand in its Festival Village. Fans are invited to “donyour best Ziggy Stardust attire and get ready to dance and sing along as our DJ line-up pay tribute to the incandescent Starman.”

It’s sure to be an event full of colour, sing-alongs, and a few tears.

Update:Sydney Festival has now confirmed the tribute will feature two DJ sets, from 6:15-7:30pm and 8:45-9:45pm. The music will be headed by 2SER music directorAndrew Khedoori.

SydneyFestival Village is a licensed venue with limited capacity, and all minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
