Canadian progressive rock trioThe Tea Partywill play their first symphony orchestra shows in Australia when they tour here next month.

Along with a 48-piece orchestra, The Tea Party will hit Sydney as part of their national tour, playing at The Star Event Centre with the Sydney Youth Orchestras on Friday April 21.

Forming in 1990, the band was propelled into fame with the release of second albumThe Edges Of Twilight in 1995. This Australian tour marks the first time – outside of Canada – thatThe Tea Party has played alongside an orchestra since 2002.
