Italian space doom virtuosos Ufomammut have announced their first visit to our shores this October, and they’ll be bringingSwedish three-piece Monolord along for the ride.

Across their 16-year career, Ufomammut have dropped eight crushing albums including their most recent, last year’s Ecate.

Named after the ancient Greek goddess of the three worlds – the World of Humans, the World of the Gods and the World of the Dead – the record features six separate tracks, each one a representation of one of her many manifestations.

Monolord will be heading to Australia off the back of their second album, Vænir. Drawing on influences such as Sleep, Sabbath, Windhand and Conan, and with words like ‘pummeling’ used to describe their live show, expect some serious brutality from this tour.

Ufomammut and Monolord will storm through The Bald Faced Stag on Friday October 7. Tickets are on sale through Moshtix.
