The musical evolution of Michael Paynter has been a series of obsessive love affairs. At the age of 7 it was the piano, at 12 it was the guitar and by 15 he was crashing through a set of drums. With a career already marked by a diverse range of successes; from his 2010 platinum selling single Love The Fall featuring The Veronicas, to his current role as keyboardist, guitarist and guest vocalist with Icehouse and everything in between; Michael is a young man determined to leave his mark on the world of music.
2013 has been Michael’s biggest yet, as he successfully progressed to the final 4 of “team Joel” on powerhouse Australian TV show The Voice. He regularly received high praise from all four celebrity coaches, who noted his stellar voice and consistent work ethic. Michael won viewers over with his powerful rendition of the Daryl Braithwaite classic ‘The Horses’ and earned himself a wide new range of fans.
