[MUSIC: Interview] Adele & Glenn
The Go-Betweens were archetypal storytellers. Like the very best of Australian music, you could find a sense of a life and a nation in the songs of Robert Forster and the late Grant McLennan. The same can be said of the songs of Adele & Glenn – Adele Pickvance and Glenn Thompson – who joined Forster and McLennan in the second incarnation of the Go-Betweens, from 2000-2006. And while the duo’s debut album Carrington St speaks for itself, it also bears lovely traces of the six years spent in that masterclass of pop.
